FULL TIME & PART TIME CHEESEMONGER
We are a small, independently owned artisan food company based near Granville, Ohio. Our premium artisan cheeses and award-winning fruit preserves are handcrafted from all locally sourced ingredients. The BRC specialty cheese shop is located inside the historic North Market in downtown Columbus. Here we offer a unique cut-to-order cheese shop experience where we bring the best of all things cheese to central Ohio.
We are currently interviewing for Cheesemongers at our North Market location.
Requirements include an ambition to learn, attention to detail, good communication and organization skills, an interest in artisan foods and supporting our local food community, and above all a desire to offer an exceptional experience to customers. We often stock large format cheese wheels. The ability to lift/carry at least 50 pounds is required. Basic knowledge of food safety and customer service experience is preferred. Must be able to taste and enjoy cheese!
Cheesemonger responsibilities include offering excellent customer service, maintaining the quality and condition of our cheese inventory and other retail items. Teaching guests about cheeses and helping them choose the right cheese for their specific needs. Maintaining a clean and professional work environment.
